Over the years, I have found it more and more necessary to have daily reminders to stay focused on what’s important. There are so many things that can be a distraction. I don’t know about you, but I can start out looking at one thing on the internet and an hour later I’ve looked at several other things, without even remembering what I initially started looking for.
Creating daily success triggers are a great way to keep you focused and on task as you pursue your goals and dreams. Having daily success triggers help to speed up achieving of your goals and dreams by giving you a consistent reminder of what you should be thinking about and working towards.
What are some common success triggers you can use? Here are few that you can start to use today: storybooks, vision boards, photos, goal cards, sticky notes, t-shirts, and cups. Use one or more of those success triggers to help you stay focused.
Here are a few tips to help you stay focused on your dreams:
Meditate on It
Take time to stop and meditate on your success triggers each morning before you start your day. Start each day with your mind focused on the actions that will take you closer and closer to your dreams and goals.
Place your storybook, vision board, sticky notes, etc. in plain view. Make sure to put it in a place that you can see daily. Putting your success triggers in plain view will help you to stay focused.
Every time you’re reminded by your success trigger, say a positive affirmation or statement out loud that affirms your dreams and goals.
Decide on 3 success triggers you will use to keep you focused on your next big goal. Put the success triggers in 3 different places that you will see on a daily basis (bathroom mirror, reminder on your cell phone, on the refrigerator). For a week, each morning focus on those 3 success triggers.
Having your dreams is possible…if you stay focused to the end. But with so many things that can be a distraction, you have to work on to stay focused. Setting up daily success triggers is key to you reaching your goals and dreams. So, stay focused!
